Escape

Watched “Escape from Alcatraz” on DVD this morning. The movie depicts Frank Lee Morris’s escape from Alcatraz, otherwise known as The Rock. Frank together with John and Clarence Anglin were the first to have escaped and were never caught from the maximum-security prison in its 29 years of operation.

It has been converted into a tourist attraction and I had the opportunity to tour the prison when I was in San Francisco last May. Sure brings back some fond memories after watching the movie. Cruising along the highway 101, putting my footprints on the magnificent Golden Gate Bridge, having noodles in China Town, sipping Starbuck’s ice latte in San Francisco city, taking pictures in Fishermans Wharf, taking a stroll on the beach in Santa Cruz, night shopping in Santa Clara. Sure would like to escape there if given a chance again, such a wonderful experience.
