No Pain No Gain
Was watching Miami Ink the other day…sure reminds me of my own tattoo. No pain no gain…that is so true…especially when it comes to tattooing. When you see the end result…endure for half an hour of pain…no big a deal. Can’t remember the exact date though…but I know its late 2004 when I got the ink on my body. Initially…thought of getting one on my shoulder blade…but decided to put one between the shoulder blades just right below the neck.To me…tattoo is personal…its not meant for showing off…rather its meant for myself. Why did I get it done…well…there is no particular reason for it. Its not the closing of a chapter of my life…not a new beginning of my life…not to get one in memory of someone…not to pledge my love for someone…not for protection either…and most definitely not for showing off. I just kinda feel like getting one. Its an art…art on the body…permanently…I’ve wanted one on myself for as long as I can remember.
Choosing the design wasn’t that difficult…I’ve always like the sun…its round and big and powerful…I knew I wanted something circular. The moment I saw this Tahiti circular design on the catalogue…there is no hesitation. When the time is right…I might want to enhance the design further…add some colours perhaps.
