Send Away The Tigers

Good old fashion modern rock song with an alternative twist is what you get from the Manics. Haven’t really been a fan but their latest Send Away The Tigers I really like. Maybe I wasn’t listening then…maybe my taste have change abit…but anyhow…this one really blew me off. Maybe I should have a relisten to their previous work before I make my judgement…or the Manics fan will find this injustice.

The first single “Your Love Alone Is Not Enough”…they rope in Nina Persson from the Cardigans to provide the vocals…a cheery rock tune that makes you want to sing along with them. There is nothing fanciful…nothing experimental in the album…just classic Manics riffs and melodies that made them one of Britain’s best bands. This is an album that I would like to blast in my car after a hard day’s work. They are a working class alt-rock band…just like me…a hard working class man.
