Goodbye…We Will Miss You

The day that I have been waiting for since late Dec 2008 has finally arrived. Even though I am not the one who is retrenched…I do feel for the ones who were. Although I am prepared for whatever might happen…but I wasn’t prepared for the emotion that comes with the retrenchment. I might be lucky this time round…but heard that there will be a 2nd phase in April and even a 3rd in June…surely I will not escape the next 2 onslaught. Keeping my fingers crossed and pray that the economy will pick within the next few months…at least when I am retrench…I will be able to find job soon.

There were some peers who left with a smile…some share their chocolates and candy… some faces were gloom…some with teary eyes…some say their goodbyes through e-mails… and some left without saying goodbye. Whatever it is…I can tell you that my handshake was genuine and my good luck was sincere. I really do hope the ones who were made to leave will find job and close this episode asap. The experience of working with you bunch will always be remembered…be it good or bad.

Thank You…Do Come Again

I can’t believe it…time really flies…in a blink of the eye…the Chinese New Year holidays are over. I can still remember dragging myself to work before the holidays…and tomorrow I will be dragging myself to work after the holidays…back to face the music…the retrenchment music will start this week.

This holiday has been really really…should I say heartfelt…lots of warmth. Family reunion…long time friends gather…friendship renew…lots of New Year sms… new found friends. Everyday I’m meeting someone…family…friends…colleagues…primary and secondary school mates...Uni-mates…my house…your place…his home…appointment after appointment…busy busy busy but I enjoyed the whole of it…rekindle long lost friendship and make new ones too…things couldn’t get any better. Reminiscing the old times…talk about the future…making silly plans. What’s more…my birthday happen to fall on the 3rd day of the Chinese New Year…so more calls for celebration. This is the best present ever guys.

Its time like these that you treasure the moments even more. Thanks to everyone for making my holiday such a memorable one.
